The DONNA 5K at TPC Sawgrass is Ponte Vedra Beach’s October race: a run and walk on the cart paths of THE PLAYERS Stadium Course, held each October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month by The DONNA Foundation. The 2026 race, the 19th, started at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, from the Nicklaus Gate Entrance on Stadium Course Way, the organizers say. The 2027 date has not been announced. What it is

The race is a family-friendly event that honors survivorship and supports people and families living with breast cancer, the organizers say. It is open to runners and walkers of all levels, with virtual options for people who cannot be there, and it is the third and final race of the foundation’s DONNA Fearless Series. The race has sold out in previous years.

The DONNA Foundation was founded in 2003 by breast cancer survivor Donna Deegan and provides support and financial help to people and families living with breast cancer, according to the race FAQ.

Race day schedule (2026)

  • 7 a.m.: race day packet pickup opens
  • 8:30 a.m.: race start
  • 8:35 a.m.: walkers and strollers start
  • 9 to 10:30 a.m.: survivorship celebration in the Athletes’ Village

Registration and packets

  • Cost: the in-person 5K and the virtual events were each $50 in 2026. Registration includes a finisher medal, a shirt, a goodie bag, an “I’m Running For” back bib and a chip-timed race with age group awards.
  • Refunds: fees are not refundable, including if the race is postponed or canceled. Bibs cannot be transferred to someone else, but you can switch between in-person and virtual by paying any difference.
  • Race day sign-up: only if the race has not sold out, from 7 a.m. at the venue.
  • Packet pickup (2026): 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, at the 1st Place Sports store picked at registration, including the Jacksonville Beach store at 424 S. Third St. Bring a photo ID. Unclaimed packets were available from 7 a.m. on race morning.

Parking and getting there

Parking is free at THE PLAYERS Championship General Parking on Stadium Course Way, off Palm Valley Road (County Road 210), and no pass is needed, the parking page says. The lot is next to the start, the finish and the Athletes’ Village. The organizers publish no road closures; the course stays inside TPC Sawgrass.

What to know before you go

From the race FAQ:

  • Stay on the cart paths. Runners and walkers may not go onto fairways, greens, bunkers or landscaped areas.
  • Strollers are welcome. Start at the back, keep right and yield to runners and walkers.
  • Dogs and pets are not allowed anywhere in the event areas. Service animals are.
  • No gear check. Leave your things in your car; the lot is next to the start.
  • Restrooms: portable toilets at the start, finish and Athletes’ Village, plus the course’s own restrooms.
  • Water: one station near the midpoint.
  • Fundraising is optional. Every runner gets a personal fundraising page.
