What it is

TPC Sawgrass calls itself the home of THE PLAYERS Championship, the birthplace of the TPC network of tournament courses and the backdrop to the PGA TOUR’s global home. It has two PGA TOUR championship courses designed by Pete Dye, according to the club’s website.

THE PLAYERS Stadium Course and the 17th

The Stadium Course was built to challenge tour professionals as no course had before while giving spectators an unprecedented view, the club says. Its best-known hole is the par-3 17th, one of the most recognizable on the PGA TOUR, with a green surrounded by water. Dye’s Valley Course is the club’s second course.

Tee times: both courses take bookings through the club’s website, which also lists a TOUR Player Experience and the TOUR Performance Center. The club hosts corporate outings, charity events and golf groups. We do not list green fees; the club quotes them when you book.

THE PLAYERS Championship

The PGA TOUR’s flagship event returns to TPC Sawgrass March 9-14, 2027, and tickets are on sale, THE PLAYERS says. Cameron Young won the 2026 tournament with a birdie on the wind-blown island green at the 17th, the tournament’s site reports.

St. Johns County schools are in session during the tournament; spring break is the following week, March 15-19. See spring break and our getting around guide.
